The Blade Lineage leader's main payoff is deliberately losing the clash with S3 Yield My Flesh, then spending accumulated Poise on the special counter To Claim Their Bones. Maintain 3 Pride Resonance for Swordplay of the Homeland to strengthen all Blade Lineage allies.
Core Mechanics
Yield My Flesh, To Claim Their Bones: When S3 Yield My Flesh loses its Clash, he uses the special counter To Claim Their Bones after taking damage (on a win, he only gains 5 Poise). He cannot be staggered during use. To Claim Their Bones is a 4-Coin counter whose Attack Weight grows with Poise (depending on Uptie, +1 at 10 or more Poise, or +1 per 7 Poise, up to 2). +100% damage against a single target. Coin Ⅳ inflicts 3 Bleed and 5 Paralyze next turn on hit.
Gaining Poise: S1 Draw of the Sword and S2 Acupuncture increase Poise Count on use and grant Poise on Coin hits. The higher his Poise Potency, the more Critical damage Yield My Flesh and To Claim Their Bones deal.
Combat passive — Swordplay of the Homeland (3 Pride Resonance; unlocked at Uptie Ⅱ): At Combat Start, gives Swordplay of the Homeland (skill bonuses based on Poise) to Blade Lineage members other than himself. Each time he gains Poise, the 2 Blade Lineage Identities with no Poise or the least Poise also gain 1 Poise Potency and Count. He survives one hit that would bring his HP to 0, once per battle.
Instruction: At Combat Start, S1 and S2 give Blade Lineage members other than himself (as many as the highest Absolute Resonance) an Instruction effect that raises the Final Power of their S1 and S2 that turn.
How to Use
Pair him with Blade Lineage allies and build 3 Pride Resonance every turn to keep the passive active. Build Poise with S1 and S2, and throw S3 into Clashes he can afford to lose to chain into To Claim Their Bones. Against a single strong enemy, To Claim Their Bones gains +100% damage.
